Abstract

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to identify the research trend of 193 studies published in the Journal of Military Nursing Research from 1993 to 2010.

Methods : 193 articles were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The focus was on the research type, methodology and key words.

Results : 19.7% of the research was supported financially. 81.3% was quantitative research, and of this, a majority was surveyed. 24.1% of the research was conducted among military personnel. Research which obtained consent forms was 34.9%. For data analysis, descriptive statistics(36.7%), t-test(19.1%), and ANOVA(17.3%) were used most frequently. The most frequently used domains were nursing(35.7%) and health(33.3%). The specific key words were nursing officer, stress, cadets, and soldiers.

Conclusion : The number of research papers published in the Journal of Military Nursing Research has increased and financial support has grown since 1993. However, attempting to research various study methods, multidisciplinary cooperation and varying subject groups would be required in the future.
